PlaceMakers systems,
whilst good at distribution, provide no marketing friendly data or
single view across systems. Customers were known only by an account
name, which may also include a job number. Branches operate
independently with no consistency of loading in customers and
customer codes making a single view impossible. However PlaceMakers
have a vision for CRM excellence and understand the steps required
to achieve this, the first and most important being the foundations
of a common customer and a single view across the customer
segmentation, branches and transactions.
This entry is worthy
of recognition due to the degree of difficulty and volume of data
analysed, segmented and matched to deliver a set of customers, their
accounts, their branches and consolidated segmentation data and the
difficulty of deploying an application across the tightly controlled
branch environment running a variety of systems.
Simplicity provided a single view platform, deployed from a web
browser, allowing consolidated data views across all systems,
storing data not already held in a marketing database and providing
a seamless fast web based single view across all systems without the
traditional need to refresh data across systems. (see Attachment 1
screens). That is no data is actually moved but all systems are
linked in an “as and when required” virtual link. We also solved
the branch apathy and inability to consistently enter data by
introducing “Matcher” the innovative process to empower marketing to
maintain customers account relationships.
